Amanda Anderson PhD, LMFT

Clinical Supervision

One of Dr. Anderson’s passions is supporting and cheering on therapists at every developmental level as a clinical supervisor.

•  Graduate school students seeing clients for the first time.

•  Post-graduate clinicians working toward licensure.

•  Licensed therapists who value outside perspectives.

Regardless of what developmental stage you are in as a mental health provider, clinical supervision and case consultation can add to your clinical effectiveness as well as lessen feelings of isolation that can arise in this line of work.

•  Further development of overall skills in the therapy room

•  Increase awareness of how self-of-the-therapist experiences impact clinical work

•  Build confidence as a budding clinician

•  Gain insight on “stuck” cases

•  Develop expertise in the business of therapy practices

•  Earn hours toward licensure

•  Identify a plan for sustainability and longevity in practice

Whatever your need is, you and your clients deserve the benefits gained by working with an experienced clinical supervisor.

Dr. Anderson approaches clinical supervision with a strengths-based perspective, assuming the clinician possesses skills, insight, and the desire to treat their client’s successfully. Supervision sessions focus on goals and areas of growth identified by the trainee resulting in individualized and custom-fit sessions. Dr. Anderson balances her role as an encourager and teacher of the trainee with that of a gatekeeper of the profession’s ethical, legal, and best-practice standards.

Dr. Anderson is a Washington State Approved Supervisor and American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT) Approved Supervisor and conducts supervision sessions at her Aberdeen, WA office or via Zoom.

Per session fees are as follows:

•  $75 for individual supervision, pre-licensure/associate level clinicians

•  $125 for individual consultation

•  $125 for group supervision/consultation (up to four trainees)
